at 11.30 am, Fourth Sunday of Easter, beginning on the Holy and Apostolic Church Cathedral of the Incarnation Seasonal Mass to mark the feast of St. Indalecio Male Pattern Apostolic Diocese of Almería.
The Holy Chair and the preaching of the Word of God was given by Hon. Dr. Don Adolfo Gonzalez Montes, Bishop of Almería, assisted by the Chapter, Hon. Mr. Don Juan Torres Cano, Mayor Dean and the Liturgy of the Hon. Cathedral Chapter, and The Right Honorable Mr. Don Eduardo Muñoz Jiménez, doctoral canon, deacons and seminarians.
After the Eucharist, the patron saint of Almeria through the streets of the parish of the cathedral church in a procession of praise, in one step with nickel silver vents led by the brother D. Antonio Artero Delgado and with the assistance of seminarians.
The procession was comprised of a hundred brothers of the Brotherhood of penance and glory, and members of the Association of Guilds, headed by Mr. José Antonio Sánchez Santander. After the pass, the image accompanying employer Monsignor González Montes, canons, deacons and seminarians, Mr. Don Luis Rogelio Rodríguez Comendador Pérez, Mayor of the city, accompanied by ladies and gentlemen Chapter of municipal government team, and closing the procession of the Banda de Música de la Cañada San Indalecio who played harmonically procession marches.
San Indalecio, according to tradition, is the first bishop of the province. He fixed his episcopal see in the city of Urci (current Pechina) that eventually was moved to the capital Almeria. He died a martyr and his relics were placed under the altar of the Cathedral of the Incarnation and the Theological Seminary of Almeria.
