Today May 11, 2011 in the convent of Santa Ana de Orihuela has died after a long illness Fr José Martínez Cano at the age of 67, 51 and 44 Franciscan Life priestly ministry.
Fray José Martínez Cano, was born in Murcia on 01/01/1944 and was ordained a priest on 17/09/1967, having being pastor of St. Augustine and Jesus of Nazareth in Almeria, guardian of the Franciscan Convent Almeria , chaplain of the community of HH. of EE.CC. La Salle and Professor of the Diocesan Seminary in Almeria. Similarly, Spiritual Director of the Royal, Illustrious and Francisca Brotherhood of Silence.
I had the opportunity to share many moments with him, especially by participating as a catechist in the marriage preparation course, speaking to the future spouses of the domestic church.
